Free Summer Reading Tracker Printable

Updated: Jun 28, 2023

6 Ways to Encourage Summer Reading

  • Schedule a reading time for each day.

  • Take your child to the library or a bookstore and let them pick out a book or magazine.

  • Participate in a Summer Reading Program.

  • Join a book club.

  • Find books or articles on topics your child is interested in.

  • Set up an incentive. For example, if your child completes the summer reading tracker, they can pick a fun activity to do. Incentives always motivated my oldest.

Remember, you are trying to encourage your child to read. We also want them to enjoy reading. A love for reading can be valuable for kids. When kids enjoy reading, they read a lot. When they read a lot, they become better readers.
