Does your child get upset or takes too long when adding and subtracting multi-digit numbers?

Updated: May 29, 2023

Does your child get upset when adding and subtracting multi-digit numbers? Do they take too long to complete math problems? Does your child have addition and subtraction facts memorized?

Memorizing math facts is so essential for building a solid foundation in mathematics. Children who do not have addition and subtraction facts memorized might struggle when they work on word problems and adding and subtracting larger numbers. Not knowing addition and subtraction facts can lead to solving problems more slowly. It also affects their confidence in math. Knowing addition and subtraction facts can help your child solve math problems quickly and accurately.

Learning math facts does not need to be boring and dreadful. Make learning addition and subtraction facts fun with these cute lemonade theme activities! These activities are available for purchase on Etsy. This digital download is only $1. Your student can practice addition and subtraction facts up to 10.

Have your student play the game several times, then complete the worksheet. After they complete the worksheet, have them play the game several more times. Continue working with them until they have it memorized and can answer simple addition and subtraction problems quickly and accurately.

First, start with adding and subtracting numbers up to 4. Once they have this memorized, have your student practice adding and subtracting numbers up to 4, then 5, then 6, then 7, then 8, then 9, then 10. Please do not continue to move on until they have it memorized. Don't forget to review previously learned facts.

I recommend printing all activities on heavy card stock and laminating for durability.
